Mr. Ryoichi Mimura, Chief Judge of Tokyo
District Court ruled on January 30, 2004
that the remuneration for the invention of
Blue LED to be paid by Nichia Corporation
to Mr. Shuji Nakamura, the inventor of Blue
LED and the ex-employee of Nichica Corporation
is US$580 million. As Mr. Nakamura says,
a time has come for inventors to be hopeful.
