Objective This service provides you with opportunities to make the most of your unexploited ideas/works. For example, if you have a patent application for which a substantial examination has not been requested yet or a patent to which you are going to stop paying annuities, you can attempt to reutilize the patent application or the patent by transferring it or granting a right to use it to the third party.
Objects of the service Those ideas/works requiring payment of annual maintenance fee. In other words, they are the ideas/works granted with a right of patent, utility model, design, trademark or new varieties of plants, or the ideas/works to which an application has been filed for any one of the above-described rights. They include, for example, a patent application for which a substantial examination has not been requested yet and a trademark to which you plan to terminate annuity payment or renewal.
Recycling procedure Your idea/work will be posted in the Showroom to invite investors who would be interested in the idea/work. The idea/work will be labeled with a special mark impressing investors with the value of your idea/work as an intellectual property protected by the law. The mark would have appeal to investors.
Types of the service Our idea recycling service is divided into two types depending on the posting period.
Posting for a limited time Posting till the item is sold off
An idea/A work will be posted in the Showroom until a certain time limit, for example, until the due date for annuity payment or renewal. This service is low-cost, costing you only the posting fee. An idea/A work will be posted in the Showroom until the posted idea/work is sold. You will need to pay the necessary annual fees to maintain the right to the idea/work until the idea/work is sold.
Merit of the service You can put your unused idea/work to practical use as well as recoup your investment in the idea/work.
(2) You can apply for the idea recycling service by either one of the following two options.

(3) After confirmation of your application for the service, your idea/work will be posted in the Showroom.

Upon receipt of your completed application, we will send you an e-mail asking for confirmation of the application. Please fill out the confirmation sheet and send it back to us by e-mail.
After confirmation, we will post your idea/work in the Showroom. If no approach came from investors within a set posting period, we will charge you the posting fee. After confirmation of the invoice, please pay the amount claimed into our bank account.
If we receive any inquiry or offer for contract from an investor, we will inform you by e-mail of the detailed information. If you decide to proceed with a contract negotiation after reviewing the detailed information, please let us know the decision by e-mail.

(4) Contract negotiation will start.

Upon receipt of your instruction to proceed with the negotiation, we will start the negotiation with the investor. We will prepare a contract based on the requests from you and the investor. We will then send you and the investor by e-mail a draft contract together with a confirmation sheet asking for confirmation of agreement to the draft contract. Please let us know by e-mail whether you agree or disagree to the draft contract.

If both of you and the investor agree to the draft contract, we will proceed to complete the contract.
If either one of you or the investor disagrees to the draft contract, you or the investor will be asked to amend the contract.
If you terminate the negotiation procedure, we will send you our invoice for the negotiation service fee. After confirmation of the invoice, please pay the amount claimed into our bank account.
(5) Upon receipt of the completed (signed) original copy of the contract, we will confirm the payment of the contract money.
« Informed of your agreement to the contract, we will send you an e-mail asking for confirmation of the contract details. After confirmation, we will then send you the original copy of the approved contract. As we receive your signed original copy of the contract, we will ask the investor to pay the contract money through a bank transfer. You will be then asked to confirm with us the payment of the contract money.
(6) Procedures of transferring the right to the idea/work will be taken.
« After confirmation of the payment of the contract money, the procedures of transferring the right to the idea/work will be taken by our affiliated team of specialists in intellectual properties. The right to your idea/work will be transferred from you to the investor. This means the conclusion of the contract.
(7) You will receive our invoice for the service fees.
Upon completion of the transfer procedures, we will send you a copy of the transfer certificate together with our invoice for the posting fee and the negotiation fee. After confirmation of the invoice, please pay the amount claimed into our bank account.
